That pretty much sums up my outfit and mood today. Plus I have Starbucks, and that goes with everything. I’m squeezing in a few hours of nannying before jet setting to San Francisco. Both boys are napping so clearly I’m left to do nothing but take photos and Vine videos of my outfit ; ) I’m making the trip up to the Bay to help my best friend pick out her wedding dress! I can’t decide if this makes me feel old or not because I woke up this morning antsy and giddy like in elementary school when you knew it was Friday AND you got to go on a field trip…and both of those things are (sorta) happening today! I threw on my comfy jeans that have a gigantic rip in the knee, a cute pair of sandals, and my happy sweater. The color and perfectly loose fit pretty much explain the sweater’s name. Now, I’m aware that ripped jeans aren’t really cool anymore, but I skirt this issue with the fact that I don’t buy them “distressed” circa 2001 Abercrombie & Fitch; they came to be that way on their own, with love and wear and tear! So that makes it kinda ok, right? Eventually I’ll crop them at the thigh and make cute worn in summer shorts, but I’m just not ready yet! Happy Friday!
While I wish I were in AZ for my SF Giants’ spring training, I thought I’d bring a little springtime fashion inspiration your way today. The weather has been gloomy and gross here, and I know it’s snowing in many places in the US, but I just can’t get spring off my mind! I put together a few fun Spring inspired looks to
tease you gaze fondly at until the sun comes out. Or you flee the state and hole up in Arizona to eat, drink, and watch baseball. Whichever comes first…ah wouldn’t that be nice. In the meantime, enjoy : )
Besides blogging and Pinterest, my favorite
guilty pleasure is anything on the Bravo Network. I’ll watch the Housewives of any city, all their spinoffs, Watch What Happens Live, you name it! It’s sick, but I truly love them all. Especially “m’main man, Andy Cohen”. (Seriously, in my head we’re best friends). But the latest thing to come from Bravo is the newest season of “The Rachel Zoe Project”; the reality show following her glamorous, fashion-filled life. The first episode featured New York fashion week, including all the chaotic action leading up to her fashion show; and lets just say is was “major“. Her 2013 Spring collection just went up on Shopbop.com and again, I’m in love. I put together a few of my favorite pieces, but seriously everything is so accessible and wearable- right off the runway! I love that about her. And don’t even get me started on that gorgeous son of hers…
I saw this photo on Pinterest the other day and thought it was just about the cutest thing ever. It inspired me to do a little pick-me-up post (that doesn’t involve shoes or purchases?!) because there are a ton of cute/sweet/deep/silly/funny/thoughtful quotes out there. Sometimes “inspirational” words can come off a bit forced or cheesy, but sometimes it’s just what you need to hear! Hopefully you get a little something from at least one. They all got to me in one way or another. Enjoy! Xoxo
I wore this outfit a few weeks back when my mom and sister were in town. We strolled around Montana Ave in Santa Monica, got pedis, and later met family for dinner. It was the perfect outfit to take me from activity to activity, as well as day to night. I’m all about functionality and fashion so when the two come together I’m a happy girl. I snapped these photos myself in a hurry so the quality isn’t the greatest, but I think you get the idea. Happy Friday!
I feel like talking about the weather and the date are both such clichés, but I just have to say that I can’t believe we’re already in March! (And I addressed the weather in my last post, so I won’t bore you with the sunny details again 😉 ). Between school and work, life has been busy, busy! Here’s a quick look at life lately according to my Instagram.
